Outerlands Medics & Rescue will travel to you and facilitate a training customized to your group.  Some of the multi-day options that we can provide are listed below, but be sure to contact us for the specific course topics and hazard mitigation that will benefit your group.

Wilderness First Aid (WFA)

16 hours | 8:30am-5:30pm | 2 days 

$300-$350/person

Our immersive two-day Wilderness First Aid course provides outdoor enthusiasts with critical skills for handling emergencies in remote settings. Over 16 intensive hours, participants will learn through hands-on practice using realistic simulations to ensure practical application and readiness for real-world situations. This course will give you the confidence and competence to manage injuries and illnesses in backcountry environments. 

A great course for hikers, campers, boaters, climbers - outdoor enthusiasts and professionals of all kinds, field biologists, Scouts and Scout Leaders, off-grid or rural residents.

Earn certifications in:

  • Wilderness First Aid

  • CPR/AED for Adult, Child, & Infant

  • Epinephrine Auto-Injector Administration

Wilderness First Responder (WFR)

72 hours | 8:30am-5:30pm | 8 days

$900-$1,100/person

This is our most immersive course, designed to prepare those in remote environments for extended periods or managing others in austere climates. This 8-9 day course provides ample time for longer lectures with added detail, along with repetition of in-depth, realistic scenarios. Consecutive days with the curriculum allows the participants to leave with unparalleled confidence when handling real world emergencies.​​

Wilderness First Responder

Re-certification (WFR-R)

24 hour class: 8:30am-5:30pm for 3 days
$375-$450/person

This is a fun course full of scenarios that reviews all of the WFR curriculum. Students will be active patients and responders throughout the three days and will leave refreshed, rejuvenated, and recertified in their Wilderness First Responder skills. Three days provides ample time to cover a variety of outdoor sports and injuries with realistic scenarios. Come and refresh your skills with us!

Sponsor a Training

Sponsoring participants and their community groups to certify in their first Wilderness First Aid certification is an invaluable way to support your community.

All listed prices are for classes within 2 hours of Santa Cruz.

An additional travel fee will be charged to groups outside of the Santa Cruz, South Bay, SF, or East Bay areas. 

For all group trainings, payment is due at time of class reservation. The minimum payment shown above functions as a deposit to hold the class date and Instructor(s), and will be retained even if fewer than the minimum number of attendees are present. 

Payment not received prior to the class starting is considered late and will be charged a late fee, unless previously arranged.
