Every instructor who teaches with us is someone Alicia has known, worked alongside, or trained with — often for years before they ever joined Outerlands. That's not a coincidence; it's the standard.
 

We don't hire instructors just because they're qualified — though every one of them is. We hire instructors who are part of the communities Outerlands serves: people who bring their own lived experience, their own passions, and their own professional expertise into every course they teach. A queer instructor teaching queer community members. A skilled ICU nurse who understands trauma care at a level textbooks can't teach. A former camp counselor leading trainings for the next generation of outdoor educators. Someone who's spent years in the exact terrain, workplaces, or communities they're now teaching wilderness medicine in.
